Layover Logic Privacy Policy
Effective 2026-07-28 · Plantburgh LLC
The short version: Layover Logic collects nothing. There is no account, no server operated by us, no analytics, no ads and no tracking SDKs. Everything you enter stays on your phone. We (the developer) cannot see your roster, your layovers, your base, your airline or anything you save.
No account, no server
There is nothing to sign in to. Layover Logic runs entirely in your browser and holds no profile about you anywhere. We operate no backend that receives your data, because there is no backend.
What stays on your device
Your layovers, imported rosters, settings, saved picks and anything you mark or note are kept in your browser's local storage, on your own phone. If you clear your browser data or uninstall the app, that information is gone — we hold no copy to restore from.
Add Layover Logic to your home screen. This is not a cosmetic suggestion: iOS erases stored data for websites you have not opened in seven days, but exempts apps installed to the home screen. Crew regularly go longer than that between trips.
Your roster
Calendar files (.ics), roster PDFs and pasted text are read
on your device. The file is never uploaded, never sent to us
and never sent to anyone else. The software that reads PDFs is served from
our own site, not a third party.
Photo import
If you photograph or screenshot a roster, the text recognition also runs on your device. The image is never sent anywhere. The recognition engine and its language data are downloaded from our own site the first time you use the feature — no third-party service is involved, and after that download it works with no connection at all.
Beta activity log
While Layover Logic is in beta, the app keeps a local record of app opens, screens viewed, cities opened and any JavaScript errors, so that crashes can be diagnosed. This record stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can clear it at any time by clearing the app's data.
Feedback you choose to send
Feedback is sent only when you tap to send it, and you are shown the exact contents beforehand. Nothing is attached that you have not seen. If you decide not to send, nothing leaves the device.
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising
None, of any kind. No page-view counters, no crash-reporting services, no advertising identifiers, no fingerprinting, no cookies used to track you.
Children
Layover Logic is intended for working flight crew and is not directed at children under 13. We collect no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it. Because we hold no contact details for you, we cannot notify you directly — the current version always lives at this address.
